Racking Inspections

Under the Australian Standard for Steel Storage Racking AS4084.1 2023, annual racking inspections are now mandatory. To ensure compliance and safety, your racking must be inspected by a qualified external racking inspector every 12 months.

With extensive expertise, IRIA offers both one-off and annual inspection services, with discounted rates for recurring annual inspections. Complete the form below, and we’ll reach out during business hours. Alternatively, call us directly at 1300 136 649.

Before you answer: what is a bay?

Your quote is calculated from the number of bays, so an accurate count gives you an accurate price.

Racking diagram showing three bays. One bay is the space between two uprights, regardless of how many beam levels or pallets it holds.
  • Count: each space between two uprights as one bay.
  • Don't count: beam levels, shelves or pallet spaces. A bay with 3 levels is still 1 bay.

Example: the racking above is 3 bays, not 18 pallet spaces.

Count the spaces between uprights only. Don't count beam levels, shelves or pallet spaces.
